35 or so more instruments presented. Can be browsed via the link given below here.

The highlight is a set of 17 photos of a very old Eb helicon by C. A. Zoebisch & Sons of NY. Probably from around 1870.

Good shots of a Miraphone BBb 4 piston sousaphone. Might tell why the European sousaphones don't sound as good as those from the US: the transition from the bell knee to the bell flare happens at a far too sharp angle.

Presentation of the Harrelson method of modifying standard trumpets. Be sure to read the text, which has a link in the index as well as under the first photo.

Sample of an ad for York brass instruments from a 1960 mag. Same for GRETSCH-COUESON.

A cornet from Poland.

Ovals (and a straight Tenorhorn) from Central European makers including Alexander.

Ever seen anything from the tuba-maker Gillhaus?

Can somebody tell me, who made a BelAir bass trumpet?

If your browser tells the photos being unavailable right after your logging in, then go back to the original link. That should work in some browsers.
