Surrounding states? Scott Watson KU, GREAT guy and mother player and teacher. Lawrence kicks butt as well. The school is very well respected in many fields (business being one).
Tom Stein at UMKC. Great school also, more urban and more 'conservatory like'. You would have lots of good playing opportunities there. Also a fine business school.
Theres also this great guy at Missouri Western, check him out. Good small school, close to KC.
