I agree with this. I would much rather see my son's HS with a Sousa' line of refurbished old 20Ks than a line of shiny silver Jupiters. But in a case of twisted irony, my sons HS school system will not let the music dept purchase "used" instruments with their annual budget....and management would rather see those shiny silver Jupitors on-the-field even if they sound like crap next to a 20Ks.
