Vacuum cleaner belts are great. When I owned a rotary horn, I always had some around. I always kept a piece of belt in my tool bag, along with a sharp knife. Another item you can use as a quick fix is pencil erasers. I always had one of those eraser pencils you have to unwrap like a grease pencil. I unwrapped just what I needed, and then trimmed it to fit. They just about fit in the hole without much trimming. Take off the bottom rotor caps and trim until the hashes on the rotor and casing line up. I always got some of those free when I made purchases at a local office supply. Evidently, those things just collected dust. Not a permanent fix, but great in an emergency. Vacuum belts are certainly cheap and do an excellent job, IMHO.
