I think the best in this area are the Tower Records in Foggy Bottom and the Borders at Pentagon City. If you go to Foggy Bottom on a Sunady morning, the parking isn't that bad. The classical section at the Tower in Landmark is pretty week, but they do have SACDs and DVD audio. The Border's usually doesn't.
