One thing I have to take issue with. The mentality I have seen popping up in some responses that says "If I can't afford it for me, why should my kids have it?"

If all parents shared that, there would be a lot less people going to college; not to mention a lot less students of all ages taking music lessons. I am not going to buy my son every piece of junk he wants, nor a new Mustang for his HS graduation, but I would certainly not deprive him of a lifetime experience just because I could not have it for myself 2 decades prior.

P.S. I think most of the Guatemalans who heard us enjoyed it too ;) For many it was the first time in their life they got to be exposed to such an ensemble and music.
