Of course a project like mine will present a row of very ordinary instruments, as most musicians actually play ordinary instruments. With which there is nothing wrong, and which deserves to be documented.

However the more special instruments of course draw more interest.

has

a beautiful, albeit defect, Bariton from Anton Janda of Hodonin soutwest of Brno in Moravia

a saxhorn baryton from Lausanne

an extraordinarily beautifully restored York Eb tuba

a Melton piston flugelhorn, quite rare for a German maker

a hunting horn from Breslau (which is now Wroclaw)

a Holton short-action BBb sousaphone with a mysterious airpath, which someone hopefully could illustrate in a diagram

a valve bone from Poland

a Tenorhorn and a Bariton, both ovals, from Alexander

a modern photo of one of the most know subcontrabass tubas

a wooden 1 piston trumpet as used in Tristand and Isolde

a straight (herald) trumpet in C with 3RV

has

two Bach Mercedes BBb tubas

4 Conn sousaphones. a 20K, a 14K, and two, which I would like help to identify. One of them only has 2 bell fastening screws (was so out of the factory).

beautiful photos of an anonymous BBb tuba 3RV, which is the most common tuba type among German amateurs

16 shots of an Olds Super trumpet: a US instrument with pistons AND Kranz/wreath. A combination not seen very often today.

a valved ophicleide in Bb

Both adresses will lead to more interesting items.

There will be indexes in .htm as well as in .doc formats. The former is faster, but Word has a better search engine.
