This deprives your kids of the important social interaction with their frieands. I got to do family trips, and I got to do "educational" trips. I was lucky. But they are very different things. It sounds to me, in reading your replies to other people, that you are just complaining that you don't get to go. Get over it. Let the kids have fun on their trip. I read one reply where you said something about wanting to go there "first." Hey,if they have the opportunity, let em go. And you aren't paying the music teacher and parents to take your kids to these places. That makes it seem like they are getting money for doing it, and they aren't. They are probably working harder during these "vacations" than when they are at work!
