The faculty member who believes they are there for the benefit of the student is the rare one.
I can tell that Kenneth Sloan is such a man.
Some others are quite impressed with themselves and their positions. Latch on to those for your entire tenure in school and don't let go.
By the same token, give back heartily to your instructors as well through your own performance and outward expressions of gratitude. They need to know that they are there for a good reason.
