I'd suggest, that you don't even think of trying this at home. The amount removed in a BBb-to-CC conversion varies. The bell flare, overall bore of the instrument, and original valve and tuning slide configuration all have to be taken into account, and sometimes there are still other suprises. Curved tubing behaves much like straight tubing of a larger bore, and other strange phenomena can happen. I take many, many measurements before I remove any tubing, and this is accompanied by prayer.
