I have a friend who plays one of these, and he absolutely hates it. The sound quality is great, but the intonation is the 'fussiest' of any CC tuba I've ever played. According to him, it practically changes "with every breath", and there's absolutely no way to play it in tune. My guess is that his is a lemon, though, as most VMI products are of decent quality. He probably got one that was meant to have "Musica" stamped on the bell.
