Cerveny and Amati are the same company located in the Czech Republic, but they are made in separate factories. The Cerveny is, by reports I've read, a better quality instrument than the Amati. They both make a full line of instruments, but the tuba is the only one widely known in the US. Several members of a German band I play with own Cerveny tenor horns. Cerveny was a pioneer in the early days of the tuba.
