Lee Stofer (GA), Matt Walters (NJ), and Robb Stewart (CA) can make these into great horns with modifications to the valves and other changes (cutting 5th slide, adding pulls, whatever else desired).
These horns are great for large bands and orchestras and have a huge sound and great low register with the mods.
Cons - not a solo instrument, not really a quintet instrument (heard it possibly can be with the right mouthpiece), very high register less than perfect (F ABOVE the staff and higher)
