a recital or concert with her.
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
A few days ago, our friend, Roberta Garten, had a terrible tragedy. Her home
burned to the ground with the loss of all its contents and many of her pets.
Included in that loss was her grand piano and all of her music. The
insurance money is barely enough to rebuild a modest home. Roberta makes her
living teaching and playing piano and needs help replacing her piano. We
have decided to start a fund to help her buy another piano.
Roberta is one of the nicest and most generous musicians we know. She has
given much of her time to helping our students play great recitals and
juries. We consider her a great accompanist. She makes you feel very
confident when she is accompanying. I feel that helping her purchase a new
or used piano is paramount.
Please contribute to this fund and help us show her how much we love and
respect her. Help her get through this most trying period!
