The 2341's are made from the same parts as the older detachable ones except for the bell,the braces,and the longer leadpipe.I think that's why they went into production,they play alot better and no retooling costs for U.M.I. The C Conns are the same story,made from current{at that time}B flat parts cut down.Hence the tapered ferruls.I wondered about the fifth valve slide tubing sticking out like that too but they sure do play well.EdF
