Tuba Stand Design

I am interested in buying, making (or having made for me) a tuba stand. The purpose is to allow the tuba to be "self-supporting" when I'm not playing, as opposed to putting it back in the case. The criteria are that it is light weight, stable and relatively small. It needs to fit a Yamaha YBB 641 (say what you will, I love the horn).

I have two ideas:
1. Supporting the outside of the tuba on three points (similar to a Wenger)
- made from aluminium
- adjustable (looks like a U shape)
2. Supporting the inside of the tuba
- made from a wooden "circle" that sits on the floor
- using a "sleeve" that fits inside the tuba

Does anyone have suggestions? Are there manufactured stands that I could investigate?
