I have a new 2950TA, only 19 days old, ex factory. Whilst I am absolutely delighted with this wonderful instrument, the valves were sluggish and exuding a black 'grease like' substance.As this is my first 'Lacquered' instrument,and I was concerned about washing it out, I contacted Willi Kurath directly and he has A) responded imedeatly with instructions and B)is sending me something to clean out the casing with. My dealings with him over the last few months leading up to final delivary, leave me in no doubt about his sincereity, and deep love of his instruments. Take your instrument back where you purchased it. I am sure they will put the problem right quickly.
