I assure you it was an accidental 'test'. After watching it fall tumbling end over end and bouncing down the stairs I had expected the worst. The new case I saw was with a Courtois Eb which Steve had at the Aust National Band Champs at Easter last year. I doubt even it would have stood up to this test though! Airlines probably would not handle mine anymore as it came in at over 100 lbs loaded. Of course, when it was made in the 1920's not many people were hopping on a plane with a tuba.
