I'm willing to retreat and agree - AND ALSO APOLOGISE - that the comment about bid retraction was absolutely inappropriate and "out of control". I was (as is obvious now) only making the point the either something is legit for all or legit for no one. Rarely is something legit for its critic.
In the last several months, I've tried to withhold comments that are not quite verifiable. Frankly, as one of my own weaknesses this has now become one of my pet peeves. I did bring another Miraphone tuba to light that had its serial number intentionally obliterated. I judged that one as a pretty safe call...and didn't bid on it.
Actually the oblique criticism was oblique enough that very few understood the reference until you chose to speak up. I agree with the very first thread by Upurz: "Nuff said."
