As far as I know, it wouldn't hurt the horn at all. The only thing that I would be concerned with would be jamming a seed in a rotary valve or in the valve period. If you have pistons, you could remove those, then you would have nothing to worry about. You could also remove the slides and then you could see where they would come out.
