I would recommend the quartet competition list from the recent ITEC. That list includes 8 pieces, only one of which I didn't really like. At least three of those pieces (Consequences, Fellscape, and Fantasy) were among the best tuba quartet pieces I'm familiar with. You should also check out John Stevens' piece Manhattan Suite as well as Frackenpohl's Pop Suite. These are standards in the repertoire. Lastly, I am currently looking to publish a couple of arrangements that I collaborated on. I have two quartet pieces ready, the complete overture to William Tell by Rossini and the Torreador's Song (theme from the Bad News Bears) from Bizet's opera Carmen. I also have a quintet arrangement of the complete overture to the Poet and Peasant by von Suppe.
