While in the Army, we had a bandmaster with a good sense of humor (kinda rare). Anyway, the tuba section decided to take the opening of Holst's 1st Suite up a half step, with the resulting cacophony when the rest of the band came in. Funny part was at the next rehearsal, after the Holst was called up, the bandmaster went to the piano and banged out an Eb, looked at us and said, "You're not getting me this time!"
