Thanks Lew for posting the York photo and catalog. I am the fortunate owner of one of those instruments.
I bought mine from George Bouje who was the tubist at MGM for 40 years. It is my understanding that that model
was the only "production" model CC tuba that York ever made. George bought his new in 1938 and used it on countless
movies and most of the tuba solos on the Flintstones cartoon series. While not my primary CC tuba, I find it a perfect
size 4/4 tuba. It has a great "alive" and responsive sound. My most important use of that instrument was on the
