I use a 6 valve Rudy F at work and it's a great horn. It has your typical German F notes that need finesse but otherwise, it plays and sounds great in each situation. My quintet loves its sound and presence. I am debating whether or not to buy one for myself. I've been playing a lot of piston horns lately and thought I was settled on a MW 45SLP. I want to do another round of testing and that should firm it up. Hope I answered your question in my rambling.
