Of course I *now* have a flute player in residence. But, we played music together before living together!

That was (part of) my point!

The more serious part of my point was...if you like a piece of music being played by some other player in the ensemble, and think it would be neat to play it on the tuba - go and talk to the player who already *has* the music, and transpose/arrange it yourself.

Better for your music, and a great way to "build social capital" (anyone read "Bowling Alone"? I haven't, but my resident flute player has.)
