As I mostly, or even exclusivley, have heard the PT10/11‘s here, that might account for my not too pleasant ideas about German F‘s.
And in my eyes/ears you have made a bow towards the US style by choosing the darker PT-15. Which I of course only can find good from my standpoint of darkish equipment.
And then one more question:
My quite extensive browsing through the net sections of the US tubamarket has only told me of US made F tubas in form of cut Eb instruments. Apparently mostly from York and Conn.
Have there been original US F tubas?
