I'd like to invite everyone in the Washington DC/Baltimore area to a lecture-recital that I'm presenting of French Music. Apologies that I'll be performing on the bass trombone, but the lecture will include background on French Contest music, the French (petit C) tuba, bass saxhorn, plus the repertoire and a discography. The program is the Eugene Bozza Prelude et Final, Robert Planel's Air et Final, and the Jacques Casterede Sonatine for Bass Saxhorn. I am being assisted by Laurie Bunn on piano (you may know Laurie's husband, Mike Bunn, who is tubist with the Kennedy Center Opera).

The recital is this Thursday, June 28 at 8:00 PM. It's at the University of Maryland, College Park in the Ulrich Recital Hall in the Tawes Building (that's the old building, not the cool new one, there are harps in that one that night). If you'd like to find out more about the program or need directions please e-mail me at fsgazda(AT)wam.umd.edu. Thanks!
