Besides Ed Diefes (Syracuse Symphony and went to Curtis) , Mr. Kryzwicki has taught Matthew Good (Dallas Symphony) and Sumner Erickson (Pittsburgh Symphony and went to Curtis). A person who plays with one of the major symphony orchestras in this country and teaches at one of the top music schools shouldn't be criticized in this way.

Curtis is a good place to study for a few reasons:

1) Work with a successful teacher and hear them play in a fantastic orchestra
2) Besides studying with Mr. Kryzwicki there is an oppurtunity to drive two hours and study with other great players such as those in Washington D.C., Baltimore and New York City.
3) Philly is a big city with a good deal of gigging oppurtunities
4) FREE TUITION
5) Work with world famous conductors in Curtis's Orchestra and play with some great brass players.
