If a person hears people continuously bashing their ax, they are going to ask the question why. If people you know and respect are saying that what you love is a piece of junk, you might be inclined to wonder, "Maybe they hear something I don't". I don't have a problem with these tubas. If you only have $1,000 or so to spend this is what you get. If they are made by the same company that does Sanders, you will get a horn that if you treat it right it will stand up to the pressure of daily tuba life.
