You were not far off, with my several years of study we used Kopprasch, Gugel, Kling etc etc plus excerpts. All of the materials--including songs such as Beautiful Dreamer--are in the Blue Book and Red Book that Jake liked to use. These are the 335 Selected Melodious Progressive and Technical Studies for Horn, edited by Max Pottag and still published by Southern Music Co. The Gugel etude on the CD for example, is in the first volume--the Blue cover book. Generally we played these as C horn transposition, but many were played in bass clef as if in Eb horn transposition. The Gugel etude on the CD is played in E minor---just as notated for horn, but of course 2 octaves lower--the appropriate register for the CC tuba. Buy these books!!!!!
