The are many reasons to buy a CC. The most common is that if you plan to play in an orchestra the keys are different than a band. In an orchestra the music is mostly centered in keys that are conducive to string instruments i.e. D G A B E you know the sharp keys. The band literature is centered around the winds so the flat keys come out a lot Bb Eb Db Ab and so on. The music lies better on a CC for orchestra...trust me I am trying to play all the literature on a BBb and a CC would make some passages and partials alot easier to hit.
