You may want to try a Dennis Wick SM3. It seems to improve the pitch over my Mount Vernon 2G. I think that smallish bass trombone mouthpieces (2G's, 1 1/2Gs) don't work very well on euphonium because the pitch can be really flat, especially in the upper register. On the other hand, as a bass trombone player a 5GS is really small for me even though it is probably a good match for the euphonium. I think you've got to find a balance between a mouthpiece that fits the instrument but feels comfortable on your face. (My $.02)
