Here's my humble opinion: It's not worth spending a fortune on. If you had it completely restored, sparing no expenses, it would look great and play almost as well as a new King but not quite. BUT: A horn like this is great fun to fool around with as a "kick-around" tuba. Just patch it up enough to make it playable and have fun with it on a boat, in the woods, at the beach, anyplace where you would enjoy playing but would be afraid to take a real pretty tuba for fear of dents and scratches. Trust me, you will love that horn. If not, let me buy it from you.
