Tuning sticks are custom made for each instrument. If you are really handy, you can make your own. It's not that hard (I have fitted two of my past horns with them--one that went sharp and one that went flat when you pushed). But, as they say in car racing, don't race your ride. If you don't have the skills, stay away from your prized horn with sharp tools.

There are a number of shops that employ techs with the skills to build a tuning stick. The most well known in these circles is Matt Walters at Dillon's (See the Music Shops page).

Whether or not your horn even needs depends on the horn and how you play it. If it has notes that are out of tune, with no reasonable alternate fingerings, that can't be fixed manipulating an available valve slide, then it's a candidate for a tuning stick.
