Well, now that a member of this bulletin board has VERY kindly sold me a bell for one of my Conn short-action sousaphones, I have an ODD part "left over". If one of you repair guys out there is in need of it sometime, remember me and I'll make you a deal:
The part is the "elbow" part of a Conn 20K bell section. This part is BRAND NEW from U.M.I.
For what could you POSSIBLY use it?...
Well, if you ever had a Conn short-action sousa BODY and a "left over" 20J (recording bass) bell, you could "convert" the recording BELL to a "reasonable facimile" of a SOUSA bell and have a COMPLETE sousaphone...???...
...This was MY plan, but the guy who was to send me a recording bass bell "went south".
