There are several of us who have cut a BBb tuba to CC. However, all of us who have successfully done so have an extensive background in brass instrument repair. The two main problems with cutting a tuba are 1) getting the dimensions right, and 2) fitting it all back together. The placement of a single brace can seriously affect the response of an entire instrument. It is really ill-advised to delve into a project like this without professional help.
