I hadn't heard that they cut the Future Corps but that makes sense with what I do know. Disney is cutting back on their live music complement of musicians. The wonderful tuba quartet another poster mentioned has also been let go. Willie Clark and Gail Robertson were both on the Sousa Band tour I did last March and they told me all about it. I really wish I understood why Disney takes this stance with its musicians. It seems that in most other aspects of the parks, Disney puts a high priority on experience, capability and excellence. But when it comes to their musicians, they seems to put a high priority on a large turnover rate. If anyone ever heard the tuba quartet, they'd know those guys sounded pretty damn good. It just doesn't make any sense to me that a group with that level of skill wouldn't have a high priority for retention. Such are the mores of mouse high finance...
