If you can afford to pay $3,000 I have a Mirafone 186CC-4u 4sale.
It is of the early 70's vintage.I had the valve linkages updated to the
brand new Mirafone linkage style. The valves are smoother and faster then
my new 188.The intonation on this horn is great. It does have a lot of wear
on the laquer and the bottom bow has a lot of dents, none of which effect
the sound or intonation. The horn also comes with a gig bag.If I was you
I would try to afford a CC tuba the resale is much better.If you buy a nice
CC you can almost always break even or make a little $ . Just my $.02.
