I played a new YEP 321 in high school, using the old Al Cass oil at the time (early 70's). I did not have the problem with the Yamaha you seem to be having. I took lessons in college for awhile from Ray Young who would remove his valves and absolutely flood them with oil (he was playing a Besson).
