Recently tried one at the WW & BW. Charlie Krause explained to me that they had reworked the horn. He greatly prefered the newer version. I played it. Liked it very much. Thought the sound was GREAT. It (for me) lacked a solid low Ab and since that is not a great note for me personally, I purchased something else. The scale seemed quite good. I think it is worth a look.
