This horn does look very interesting. I used to play a Pro 2000 when I was playing in an orchestra in Taiwan and found it to be a very useable instrument for all situations (orchestra, quintet etc.). I believe that this tuba had the most beautiful and adaptable sound of any horn I have ever played. Boy do I miss that horn.
I think Mr. Benichio has some very good ideas about how tubas should be built. The new design looks very intriguing and I would bet that his collaboration with Prof. Akins has produced a great instrument. Since you have some playing time can you tell us if Kalison has taken care of their biggest weak point, the Ab at the top of the staff?
Does anybody out there know what the price range is expected to be on these?
