I used a Helleberg, but it probably doesn't matter. This horn is a radical departure from Kalison's reputation as being finiky. It's designed differently, and it shows. It's very solid. My teacher sez that if he had to replace his Alex today, he'd buy this horn. The sound is incredibly warm and resonant.

FWIW, I also tried a 24AW with no problems.
