I like the sound of the 20k's also, but from the player's standpoint I find it difficult to actually hear what is coming out, I often get the feeling that the tone is weak, but if you are in front of the horn the sound is very strong, but probably somewhat darker than most sousaphones, since I can't get used to not hearing the sound, I play a smaller horn, a Conn 14k (I think)
