I have a 3/4 CC 5 valve Alexander I bought 20 years ago. The intonation is not that great but the sound is marvelous. It plays and sounds like a CC but has the easy higher range of an F. I use it for anything and everything most people use an F for, including the bydlo. I also have an Alexander F, it is nowhere near the horn the 3/4 CC is. I find this small CC with along my PT-6 is all the tubas I usually need. I am going to have the 3/4 Alexander silver plated this summer. Alexanders are great sounding horns, someone needs to get them to start making them again! A few improvements and they would be very popular.
