Here, here! (I agree with your post.) I had one for a while. About the only time that I ever used it in a paid orchestra was on Sibelius 2, and I sure enjoyed its resonance. It was a VERY old one, and had the huge mouthpiece receiver. I took a 3 inch chunk of a Conn 88H trombone outside slide tube and beat in into a U.S.-mouthpiece receiver/venturi and inserted it into the huge mouthpipe. It made the pitch on the instrument much friendlier, but I (like all of my other CC's that I've ever owned) still dumped it. Ron Apperson got it first, then Steve Call in Utah ended up with it. Maybe he still has it.
