The way I practice is I practice 6 hours a day but not 6 hours straight. I break the hours up and spread them out during the day. I practices two hours in the morning before I go to work. Then later when I come home and am rested enough I practice two more hours... take a break, get some sleep, go out, etc then practice later for the last two hours. My goal with this is not to over working myself, stay refresed and focused with quality practice time, and keep a good balance between my music and my everyday life and nevertheless the keep the music enjoyable.
