I buzz on my mouthpiece everyday before I begin practicing. However, I usually do it for no more than 8 - 10 minutes. With my beginning sixth grade brass players, I have noticed that they play with a much better tone and their flexibility quickly improves with daily mouthpiece buzzing. I have heard other players say that mouthpiece buzzing is great, if you don't do it too long each day. I don't know for certain what their reasoning is beyond "too much of a good thing can become a bad thing". This certainly seems applicable in many aspects of playing and life, in general. I hope you find a successful way to incorporate mouthpiece buzzing into your daily practice. Good luck!
