Yes. I have been in a military band for the past seven years. Bass trombone is my only job and I love it. I know other guys that claim the military has caused them to hate music but they are usually the guys who suck anyway. I get to work evey morning an hour early just to warm-up. I enjoy playing the marches that everyone else complains of and I really enjoy the big band. I travel more every year than most people travel in a life time. I have had some bad experiences but I have learned from them.
If people hate playing music for a living they are doing the wrong gig.
