I think the 2145 - if you select a good one - is a VERY
good instrument for the ensemble-types you mentioned.
If you haven't auditioned for the orchestra chair yet,
you might be a bit premature in supposing you'll need
a horn that covers in a size-able ensemble as the only tuba.
The 2145 has plenty of power for quintet, it is a GREAT section
instrument for concert bands, and it'll easily cover either
tuba part in a quartet...
