Ok, now I know this sounds really, really, stupid-and looks even dummer BUT IT WORKS!!! : but bear with me. get some Rubber bands, loop one around the ball joint right underneath the paddle of the valve and loop the other end around your 2nd valve ring (i play a 20 year old mirafone 186). 1,2+3 valves connect this way. but the 4th v is too hard to explain- but if you got this far, you should be able to figure it out. Both my instructors (Cox[CMU] + Sinder[MSU]) said "hmmmmmmm...( and then a long pause as they eyed my "horn") well, if it works go with it" Also, when your playing they're real hard to see, so dont be embarrassed. Depending on how stretchy the rubber bands are you can get the feel you want. Mine is faster than some of the new rv horns (i know, i checked)
